On December 13, 2020, the Covid-friendly and first-ever Car Menorah Parade located at Chabad Laguna Beach was a hit for all who attended. Families coming together in the peace of their own cars while creating wholesome memories is what the season is all about. Their rides were topped with Menorahs and Chanukah flags; it would not be an event without festive Chanukah music to go with it. The parade began at 5 p.m. at the Chabad Jewish Center and travelled down Coast Highway toward Boat Canyon. The evening ended back at the Center where a pleasant and socially distanced outdoor Giant Menorah lighting was presented by Rabbi Elimelech.
“Happy Chanukah Night #5! Thanks to all who participated, to our generous sponsors, to Adam Gufarotti at the city for his help and support, to those who assisted at the event itself, and to the Laguna Beach Police Department for helping us ensure the safety of the evening!” -Perel Goorevitch
